Toshimoto Tatsushiro of Kantsu Holdings to Speak at Cybersecurity Seminar Hosted by OBC

Kantsu Holdings Co., Ltd., which develops logistics, IT automation, and security businesses, announced that Toshimoto Tatsushiro, General Manager of the Information Systems Management Department and President of Cyber Governance Lab, will speak at the event "The Current State of Cyberattacks and the Frontline of Corporate Defense," hosted by Obic Business Consultants Co., Ltd. (OBC) on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Nikkei Conference Room.

This seminar, hosted by OBC, known for its accounting software "Kanjyo Bugyo," targets system and corporate planning departments of mid-sized and listed companies. While IT environments are becoming more sophisticated with the spread of cloud services and the evolution of AI, cyberattacks are becoming increasingly complex and sophisticated, posing significant threats to business continuity.

Toshimoto Tatsushiro will reflect on his first-hand experience regarding the total system shutdown caused by a ransomware attack in September 2024, which resulted in 1.7 billion yen in damages, and the management's decision to discard and rebuild all systems. During this session, he will candidly share the realities faced as the person responsible for the victimized site and the guidelines for "true business continuity" derived from that experience.
