An Aperitivo Experience Featuring the Marriage of Veuve Clicquot and KAGARIBI

Hotel Indigo Karuizawa (Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture), a lifestyle boutique hotel symbolized by flickering flames and villa-style relaxation, will host a limited-time collaboration with Champagne house Veuve Clicquot in its central courtyard, the Forest Garden, from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Following last year’s success, the Veuve Clicquot collaboration returns this summer. Inspired by the lifestyle of the French Riviera, the Forest Garden will transform into a vibrant setting showcasing the 'Veuve Clicquot Rich on Ice' concept. Guests can enjoy a curated aperitivo experience, pairing Veuve Clicquot champagnes with dishes from the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, KAGARIBI.

Aperitivo, a beloved Italian tradition, refers to the relaxed pre-dinner ritual of enjoying drinks and light bites. This year’s theme, 'Sun Club × Champagne,' evokes the summer ambiance of southern France, with parasols and table settings creating a garden oasis. Guests are invited to savor Champagne in a laid-back atmosphere, embracing Veuve Clicquot’s signature art de vivre—where dining, conversation, and nature blend seamlessly. As dusk falls, the Forest Garden comes alive with the warm glow of fire pits, immersing guests in the tranquil rhythm of Karuizawa’s forest.

The Champagne selection features four varieties, including two new additions for 2026: 'Veuve Clicquot Rich on Ice' and 'Veuve Clicquot Rich Rosé on Ice.' Designed to be enjoyed over ice, these refreshing, fruity champagnes offer a more casual and open-drinking experience, perfect for summer.

Complementing the Champagne, KAGARIBI presents an original menu crafted with seasonal ingredients from Shinshu (Nagano). Highlights include the KAGARIBI Burger served with fries, and a range of finger foods featuring locally sourced vegetables and a hotel-exclusive shichimi spice blend developed in collaboration with Yawataya Isogoro, a renowned Nagano-based spice manufacturer. Guests can savor these pairings under the open sky, sharing moments with loved ones over Champagne in the embrace of Karuizawa’s forest—a luxurious and carefree summer escape.
