What is the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race? An international endurance race held since 1978 and incorporated as a round of the Endurance World Championship since 1980. Two to three riders take turns riding one machine, competing for the number of laps completed in 8 hours. One of Japan's premier race events featuring fierce battles in the sweltering heat. Because it requires sprint-race-like speed in addition to durability and stability, it is also known as a 'sprint endurance' race.
