LeTAO Launches 'COOORN': A New Hokkaido Corn Bread with 3 Fun Textures

Otaru pastry shop LeTAO (KCC Co., Ltd.) has announced the launch of 'COOORN', a new product overflowing with Hokkaido corn, starting June 1, 2026, at Doremo LeTAO, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Chitose Airport. The product features a special chewy LeTAO dough filled with a rich 'corn cheese filling' made by sautéing Hokkaido corn in butter and mixing it with Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. It is topped with Gouda cheese, which bakes to a crispy texture. 'COOORN' offers three distinct textures: the crispy baked cheese on top, the chewy dough, and the popping sweetness of the corn inside. The product took a year to develop, achieving its unique chewy texture with a gluten-free and yeast-free dough. The name 'COOORN' uses three 'O's to represent the overwhelming volume of corn and the '000' in '1000' (Chitose means 'thousand years'). It is priced at 432 yen per piece and 1,296 yen for a box of three, available exclusively in the Chitose area (Doremo LeTAO and LeTAO New Chitose Airport).
