KD e Solutions Inc.

Denchi Corporation

HKS Co., Ltd.

June 29, 2026

KD e Solutions Inc. (hereinafter "KDES") has enabled highly accurate prediction of EV battery lifespan using a new approach that combines "actual measured EV battery data" obtained via the electrochemical impedance method (*1) owned by Denchi Corporation (hereinafter "Denchi"), with "vehicle data" collected by devices developed by HKS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "HKS"). This enables visualization of battery value, clarifying the optimal timing for vehicle replacement or secondary battery use (*2), thereby accelerating the circular economy (*3) from battery production to disposal.

*1 A method that sends a continuously frequency-variable small signal directly into an EV battery via the charging port and analyzes the response signal to predict degradation.

*2 Initiatives that repurpose lithium-ion batteries after automotive use by leveraging their remaining performance for alternative applications.

*3 An economic system that continuously generates added value in a sustainable manner by circulating resources and minimizing waste.

As a member of the Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service Group, the company is focused on delivering comprehensive EV solutions and aims to become a business that helps realize a sustainable society.

About Denchi

Denchi Corporation is a deep-tech company specializing in non-destructive battery diagnostics using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method. The company possesses proprietary technology that "measures" internal battery degradation states without disassembling the cell, by analyzing the response to a small signal transmitted through the charging port. In this demonstration experiment, Denchi is responsible for developing battery lifespan prediction algorithms based on these actual measurement data. Beyond EVs, Denchi aims to apply its diagnostic technology to a wide range of applications using lithium-ion batteries—including power tools, electric bicycles, and stationary energy storage systems (BESS)—contributing to optimized secondary use and reuse, and ultimately to the realization of a resource-circulating society through battery value visualization.
