Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kei Takeuchi) has conducted one of the largest residential satisfaction surveys in Japan and compiled the results into the 'Livable City Ranking 2026 <Hyogo Prefecture Edition>' and 'Desirable City Ranking 2026 <Hyogo Prefecture Edition>'.

According to the overall results, Woody Town Chuo (Kobe Electric Railway Park City Line) ranked 1st in the Livable City (Station) category, jumping from 13th last year. Nishinomiya-kitaguchi (Hankyu Kobe Line) came in 2nd, and Kencho-mae (Seishin-Yamate Line) placed 3rd.

In the Livable City (Municipality) category, Ashiya City topped the list for the 7th consecutive year. Nada Ward, Kobe City, ranked 2nd, followed by Nishinomiya City in 3rd. Fukusaki Town in Kanzaki District ranked 10th, becoming the only town in a district to make it into the top 10.

In the Desirable City (Station) ranking, Nishinomiya-kitaguchi remained in 1st place for the third consecutive year. In the Desirable City (Municipality) ranking, Nishinomiya City held its top position for the eighth year in a row.

The survey was conducted via the internet, targeting a total of 36,599 residents from 2022 to 2026. Further details are available on Daito Kentaku's official website.
