Explore the world around us!

We will hold an English immersion inquiry-based summer school for children aged 4 to 8. The program explores three themes on a weekly rotation: "Community," "Nature and the Environment," and "Stories and Expression." Every Friday, children take center stage at presentation events (Community Expo, Eco-Fair, Story Festival). Rather than just learning English, the program aims to foster self-expression, collaboration, and a spirit of inquiry through the experience of "thinking, expressing, and communicating in English."

Four Experiences Built Over Three Weeks

① Learning Through English

All activities in the summer school are conducted in English. Daily lessons also include a "Language Workshop" focused on English activities. Role-play with puppets, games expressing weather and emotions physically, environmental talks using "should/shouldn't," and sentence pattern practice for storytelling are all directly linked to the day's inquiry theme.

The program is designed not just for learning English, but for using English to convey one's own thoughts.

② The Sense of Achievement: "My Idea Took Shape"

In all activities of this program, children become "creators." In Week 1, groups of 3-4 children take charge of a park, hospital, library, etc., and design a Mini City from scratch, completing it through discussion. In Week 2, they formulate an environmental improvement plan in groups. In Week 3, they create their own characters and stories to make a picture book. The experience of seeing their ideas take shape builds the confidence that "my ideas and words have value."

③ Making Global Issues Personal

Week 2's theme is "Nature and the Global Environment." Children conduct nature observations and water cycle experiments, simulating the three routes a plastic bottle can take: "landfill," "ocean," and "recycling." By verbalizing cause-and-effect relationships in English, such as "If we recycle, the Earth is cleaner" and "If we plant trees, animals have homes," children come to see environmental issues not as "adult talk" but as "something I can work on starting today."

④ Create, Present, and Take Home a Sense of "I Did It!"

Week 3 is the "Stories and Expression" week. On the first day, children enjoy a picture book reading and learn the three elements of a story: characters, setting, and events. They express emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness physically using emotion cards, learn past tense verbs used in stories like "went / jumped / laughed," and construct stories using sequence words like "First... Next... Finally..." Then, they create their own characters and stories, completing them as handmade picture books. Through the experience of their ideas becoming a picture book, children develop a joy of creation and a sense of accomplishment.
