Lecture Overview

The Kikkoman International Food Culture Study Center will hold a food culture lecture titled 'Eating, Living: Reading World Lifestyles through Photography' on June 27 (Sat) at 14:00 at the Kikkoman Tokyo Headquarters KCC Hall.

Participation is limited to 28 people at the venue, and the event will also be available for viewing via YouTube live stream. Eating is essential to our existence, yet what and how we eat varies greatly depending on climate, environment, culture, and society. Through photographs taken by photographer Katsumi Sakaguchi, who has visited various parts of the world and lived alongside the local people, we will explore lifestyle and food. This session will focus on Yemen and Morocco.

All registered participants will receive a private URL. The archive will be available for viewing until July 31, 2026 (Fri).

### Lecturer Profile: Katsumi Sakaguchi Born in Nara Prefecture in 1972, he is a freelance photographer who focuses on travel and life in nature. He is a member of the Japan Advertising Photographers' Association. Author of 'Sekai no Mainichi Gohan' (Everyday Meals of the World), 'Takibi no Subete' (All About Bonfires), and many others.
