Kingsroad Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Komaki City, Aichi; Representative: Kazuyoshi Goto), operator of the Rover Mini specialist shop 'Kingsroad Nagoya,' conducted a survey on the repair and maintenance of classic cars among 273 owners aged 20s to 60s.

According to the results, 52.1% of owners reported an average wait time of 'three months or more' for repairs. Furthermore, 72.6% of respondents expressed feeling 'anxious' about the current repair and maintenance environment.

The top reasons for this anxiety include 'rising prices and difficulty in obtaining parts' (53.5%) and 'the aging and decreasing number of highly skilled mechanics' (48.0%), highlighting structural challenges in vehicle preservation.

Regarding the future, more than half of the owners do not believe that repairs and maintenance will be possible at the same level 10 years from now. Over 70% of owners view technical succession and the shortage of mechanics as a significant social issue. Approximately half of the respondents considered the existence of specialist shops to be 'very important' for future maintenance, reflecting high expectations for stores with specialized expertise.
