Kino Seiwaen Open: 5th Generation Dairy Farmer Launches Gelato Shop in Hokkaido

HARU Inc. (Shosanbetsu, Hokkaido; CEO Hiroko Kino) will open the gelato and milk shop 'Kino Seiwaen' on April 29, 2026. The shop uses milk from Kita-Nippon Farm, managed by the 5th generation of a dairy farming family that started in 1900. CEO Hiroko Kino revived the family's old trade name 'Kino Seiwaen' to fulfill her childhood dream of delivering fresh milk directly to consumers. The milk is prepared using low-temperature long-time pasteurization to preserve its natural sweetness. The gelato recipes are developed by the CEO's sister, a registered dietitian, focusing on low sweetness to highlight the milk's flavor. The shop is located on a hill overlooking the Sea of Japan and will operate until early October.
