Project Overview The ivi house is an experimental dwelling designed to rediscover human sensibility, created through the co-creation of Haseko Corporation, Hosoda Corporation, leading roboticist Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro, and KiQ, under the concept of a 'living house.' It is not merely a smart home, but a living environment constructed to 'cuddle like air,' focusing on human gestures, 'Ma' (interval/space), and tacit knowledge, without technology dominating the foreground. While leveraging technology, the protagonists remain human sensibilities and actions. It was developed as a residential model that provides 'meaningful experiences' rather than just 'convenience,' through the integrated design of space, light, materials, and interaction. What is the ivi project? The ivi project is a research and development initiative that positions the home not as a completed form, but as a continuously evolving platform. Its goal is to redefine living itself, moving beyond the home as merely a 'consumable good' to a dwelling that expands human thought and sensibility. The ivi house is the first prototype embodying this philosophy, implemented in society as an experimental dwelling. What is KiQ? KiQ is a creative firm that explores beauty and humanity in the AI era. Based on Japanese aesthetics and the culture of 'Shosa' (gestures), it designs experiences spanning AI, robotics, architecture, products, and UX. Its R&D division, Shosa Lab, is working on implementing empathetic design in society, based on research into physicality and non-verbal communication. Key Points of Collaboration In this project, integrated design was carried out from the initial conceptual stage, without compartmentalizing: ・Architectural design ・AI / Sensing technology ・UX design ・Cultural approach A distinctive feature is that the design began not from 'functional requirements' but from 'human actions.' An approach was adopted where the space configuration and technology introduction were back-calculated by observing each gesture of the residents. Evaluation Points
