In recent years, with the rising age of individuals engaging in fertility activities, there is an increasing awareness of improving physical condition through nutrition. Kishu Hosokawa Soyaku Co., Ltd. (Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture) announced that the cumulative number of testimonials from users regarding its fertility support food, which contains the plum extract 'Umu-Lin' developed by the company, has reached 10,103 as of April 2026. Since 2021, an average of approximately three testimonials have been continuously received daily. The average age of users is 39.0 years. According to Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare data, the proportion of fertility treatment patients aged 40 and over in Japan is 43.0%, the highest among comparable countries. Among the testimonials received by the company, 46% are from individuals in their late 30s, and 25% are from those in their 40s. 'Umu-Lin' is a plum-derived component extracted from plum vinegar using a proprietary method (patented). It was developed based on basic research, including joint research with medical universities, and is available in a convenient liquid stick type.
