Students from the Faculty of Contemporary Social Studies, Department of Social Disaster Prevention at Kobe Gakuin University (including student volunteer groups such as 'Bousai Joshi', 'Seagull Rescue', and the 'Youth Disaster Prevention Council') will participate in the MUJI 'Itsumo Moshimo CARAVAN Kobe' event organized by Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd.
Since 2011, MUJI has conducted various programs under the 'Itsumo Moshimo' (Everyday/In-case-of-emergency) initiative, aimed at preparing for disasters using familiar household items. The goal is to provide knowledge and materials so people can confidently say, 'We are prepared for anything.'
'Itsumo Moshimo CARAVAN' is an event where adults and children can learn about disaster prevention in a fun and interactive way. This is the fourth time the event is being held in Kobe, a city that experienced the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995.
Under the theme 'Connecting the Future: Itsumo Moshimo', the event features participation from four educational institutions, including Kobe Gakuin University, alongside 11 companies and organizations.
Students will not only host a university booth but also collaborate with the NPO Plus Arts 'Iza! Kaeru Caravan!' to staff booths featuring water-extinguisher target games and paper-dish making.
Learn about the characteristics of your local area and the knowledge required to survive a disaster through games, quizzes, and outdoor activities at 'Itsumo Moshimo CARAVAN Kobe'.
