Students from Professor Yukie Tsuji's seminar in the Faculty of Economics at Kobe Gakuin University will exhibit at the 'Econova Workshop' held at Mikage Classe to conduct their original experiential fair trade game, 'Chocolat Trade.'
In this workshop, participants will simulate the role of a 'chocolate producer' in a developing country. By thinking through the game about how to sell chocolate and earn sufficient profit, participants—ranging from children to adults—can enjoyably learn about the global challenges hidden behind the chocolate we consume daily and the importance of fair trade.
The teaching material, 'Chocolat Trade,' was uniquely developed by the Tsuji seminar as part of a project supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and university students will serve as navigators to gently support the participants' learning.
Participants will receive 'Kobe Tea' as a gift.
