Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden/Ropeway (operated by Kobe Resort Service Co., Ltd.), a resort facility located on a mountain 400m above sea level with panoramic views of Kobe port city, will hold the "Rose & Lavender Fair 2026 - Peak Season of the Herb Garden -" from May 9 (Saturday).

Beautiful "Roses" with various colors, fragrances, and flower shapes can be enjoyed in two distinct gardens. The "Rose Symphony Garden" boasts about 60 varieties of fragrant English roses, while the "Four Seasons Garden - Hospitality Garden" is colorfully adorned with about 60 varieties of roses and herbs.

"Rose Symphony Garden"

Mainly featuring fragrant and colorful English roses, it is planted in six areas (Myrrh scent, Tea scent, Noisette scent, Musk scent, Fruit scent, Old Rose scent). It is popular as a photogenic garden surrounded by roses. The Rose Symphony Garden offers a unique experience where you can enjoy the atmospheric space of roses with the observation rest house (surrounding buildings) modeled after a German castle.

Clematis

You can also enjoy the magnificent collaboration of "Clematis," known as the Queen of Climbing Plants, and "Roses," the Queen of Flowers.

A lavender field spreads out against the backdrop of the surrounding mixed forest. Gently touch and experience the gentle fragrance of Lavender, the "Queen of Herbs." Since two types of lavender with different flowering periods are planted – "English Lavender" with its fragrant, deep purple flowers and "Lavandin Lavender" with its beautiful large flower spikes – you can enjoy a vast purple landscape for a long period.

Approximately a 5-minute walk from Shin-Kobe Station (Shinkansen/Kobe Municipal Subway). It is one of Japan's largest herb gardens with excellent access, located immediately from Kobe city center and Kobe Kitano Ijinkan. From the ropeway, you can overlook the cityscape of Kobe and Keihanshin.
