Hajime Nakamura
Born in 1956 in Mie Prefecture. Graduated from Seijo University and joined Toba Aquarium, where he served as a seal trainer, then Planning Department Manager, and later Deputy Director. He gained recognition for providing footage to TBS programs such as 'Waku Waku Animal Land' and 'Doubutsu Kisoutengai', playing a key role in the otter boom. After becoming independent in 2002, he established himself as a 'visitor attraction contractor'. Through innovative exhibitions that turn weaknesses into strengths and unique marketing strategies, he has led facilities such as 'Enoshima Aquarium', 'Sunshine Aquarium', and 'Hokkaido Museum of Northern Nature' to miraculous increases in attendance. He continues to develop cutting-edge exhibitions for numerous aquariums both in Japan and abroad. He serves as Honorary Principal of Jikei Gakuen COM Group and lectures on museum exhibition theory at Kitasato University's curator program. Major publications include 'Becoming an Aquarium Connoisseur' (Shodensha), 'Aquarium Philosophy: 30 Aquariums That Change Your Life' (Bungeishunju), and 'Unconventional Visitor Attraction Techniques' (Kodansha), among many others.
