Manami Miyata's Latest Book "Until Summer" Announced! First Installment of "Tanka Koshien" Series, "Spring, Encounter," Also to Be Released in Paperback!

Manami Miyata, a young author gaining attention in the tanka and literary worlds, will release her latest book on August 5 (Wed).

The title is "Until Summer." This is the second installment in the "Tanka Koshien" series, following the first installment, "Spring, Encounter," published in 2024.

"Until Summer" depicts young boys and girls aiming for the "Bokusui Tanka Koshien" held in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, focusing on a high school setting, this time featuring a strong tanka school.

A summer betting on thirty-one syllables, pursued by two polar opposites. The second installment in the Tanka Koshien series, following "Spring, Encounter"!

Nami Shinonome, who has been in the literary club since junior high and has always admired the Tanka Koshien. She had absolute confidence in her passion for tanka. On the other hand, Amami Kai, who is carefree and has always written tanka on her own as she pleased. These two will end up fighting together in the Hoshizawa High School literary club.

Their unique youth, capturing every moment of irreplaceable days in tanka.

Includes approximately sixty original tanka poems by Manami Miyata to color the story.

Furthermore, on August 12 (Wed), the first installment of the series, "Spring, Encounter," will be released by Kodansha Bunko.

Manami Miyata's recent photos have also been updated to coincide with the new book! Photos shot with a refreshing summer concept have also been released.
