The commercial building 'Echoes Shinmachi,' planned and developed by Kosugi Real Estate Holdings, has been awarded the 'Silver A' Design Award (Silver). This marks the fifth design award received by Echoes Shinmachi.
Echoes Shinmachi is a commercial building located along the Tsuboi River in Shinmachi, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City. It features a hybrid structure, with the basement and first floor in reinforced concrete (RC) and the second floor in wood, balancing durability and sustainability. The exterior uses brick and gabled roofs to blend into the historic landscape.
Terraces facing the Tsuboi River allow visitors to experience the changing seasons through the river and surrounding plants.
The name 'Echoes' reflects the desire for the building to be a place where regional tradition and innovation, and history and the future, resonate together.
