Golden Bear, a casual wear brand managed by Kosugi Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Sataro Kosugi), will release a collaboration T-shirt with wildlife photographer Takayuki Maekawa at select stores and its online store starting Monday, June 8.
At Golden Bear, we aspire to make a modest contribution to the global environment. This is the third collaboration with Takayuki Maekawa, who considers bears the origin of his career as a wildlife photographer. We realized this project by using polar bears, symbols of global warming and endangered species, as a motif, hoping to lead to actions that protect the global environment.
Guided by the brand philosophy of creating 'clothes that will one day become family memories,' we selected a photograph from Maekawa's works featuring two polar bears snuggling together.
The T-shirts are made of 100% organic cotton, emphasizing a soft texture and light feel. The neck label is printed, ensuring it does not scratch the neck. It is a T-shirt that is kind to both the wearer and the environment.
Available in two colors: ivory and sky blue. The photograph is featured as a back print, and a special white bear logo, a symbol of environmental protection, is embroidered on the chest for men and the hem for women. The women's version features a compact silhouette with a French sleeve design, making it easy to use for layered styles.
Polar Bear T-shirt (Men's) Price: ¥5,390 (tax included) / Sizes: M, L, LL / Colors: Ivory, Sky Blue
Polar Bear T-shirt (Women's) Price: ¥5,390 (tax included) / Sizes: M, L / Colors: Ivory, Sky Blue
What is organic cotton? It is cotton grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Only fibers and products that meet international standards receive organic cotton certification. Compared to conventional cotton cultivation, it uses less water and reduces soil and water pollution. Therefore, choosing organic cotton contributes not only to the global environment but also to protecting the labor environment of producers.
