Kato Pleasure Group (Tokyo Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Group CEO: Hiroaki Kato) announces that 'Hakone Suishoen' (opened in 2007) will welcome guests with a new look starting April 9, 2026. (Hakone Suishoen had been closed since last September for renovations.) Hakone Suishoen is a historic property with 23 rooms, centered around the 'Ryotei Momiji,' a registered tangible cultural property built in 1925, with guest room buildings (4 buildings in total) arranged around it. Every room is equipped with a private hot spring bath fed by its own source, allowing guests to relax both mind and body while overlooking the garden that changes with the seasons. The main building is fully equipped with an open-air bath with a sauna and a spa by the world-class high-end brand Sisley. At 'Ryotei Momiji,' guests can enjoy deep-flavored Japanese cuisine and teppanyaki refined by chefs, as well as the BAR 'Ito.' As we enter our 19th year of operation, we have refreshed the furniture and lighting while maintaining the original atmosphere of the building to ensure a more attractive stay. The 'Ryotei Momiji,' built in 1925, has carried its profound atmosphere through 100 years. We have prepared a relaxing time on the veranda, allowing guests to surrender to the quiet air and spend their time as they wish. From check-in until sunset, guests can freely enjoy their favorite drinks. We also offer traditional Japanese tea accompaniments. On the veranda, you can feel the gentle flow of time with a maple tree over 300 years old. Additionally, as a new experience, please enjoy various Japanese-style activities such as 'scent play' in your room and matcha tasting comparisons.
