The Kubara Honke Group opened 'Kyoto Gion Kayanoya' on June 11, 2026 (Thursday). The first floor sells Kyoto-limited items, tableware, and culinary tools, while the second floor houses 'Oryori Kayanoya Kyoto Branch', the first branch of Fukuoka's 'Oryori Kayanoya' in the country. The store's interior design was supervised by architect Kengo Kuma. Based on the traditional Gion townhouse style, the space is a harmonious 'stage of hospitality' featuring the textures of natural materials like Japanese cypress and the aroma of dashi. The store aims to be a new hub for disseminating Japanese food culture, where visitors can experience dashi culture through all five senses.
