Initiatives to Address Toilet Issues During Disasters

In the event of large-scale disasters, deteriorating toilet conditions at evacuation centers can lead to health risks and worsened living environments. To address this, Tondabayashi City has aimed to “secure high-quality toilets within three days of a disaster” and has advanced the introduction of disaster toilet trucks, alongside participation in the Disaster Deployment Toilet Network Project, 'Everyone’s Toilet to Restore Well-being'.

As part of its regional disaster prevention initiatives centered on commercial facilities, KUL has previously collaborated with Tondabayashi City by providing part of the Ecorose parking lot as a site for a disaster supply warehouse. For this latest initiative, the company endorsed the project’s purpose and provided support through crowdfunding.

Holding of the Unveiling Ceremony

The introduction of the disaster toilet truck has now been realized, and an unveiling ceremony was held on June 25, 2026, at the Tondabayashi Fire Station of the Osaka Minami Fire Headquarters. KUL attended as one of the contributing companies and joined related organizations and partner companies in celebrating the launch.
