As a company supporting global food and agriculture, Kumiai Chemical organized the "2nd High School Students' Food Education Program: Group Discussion on Food Production" from May to October 2025, to consider issues related to food and agriculture together with high school students who will lead the future. A total of 249 groups, comprising 967 students, participated in this initiative. Following an evaluation of the submitted reports by our company, a report from a group at Kyoto University of Education Affiliated High School was selected for the Excellence Award. On February 16, 2026, the high school students who produced the excellent report were invited to our Chemical Research Laboratory (Shimizu Innovation Park/ShIP) for an award ceremony. The event included a company introduction, a tour of the facility, presentations by the high school students on their reports, a Q&A session, and interaction with our executives and researchers. Numerous questions were raised during the Q&A, providing an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of research and agricultural chemicals.
