K Village Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President: Motonari Kuwahara), operator of one of Japan's largest Korean language schools, 'K Village Korean,' is pleased to announce that the 'K Village Kitakyushu Kokura School,' located in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, has celebrated its first anniversary. Situated at a key location connecting Kyushu and the Chugoku region, the school has been supported by local K-culture fans since its opening, with the number of enrolled students reaching nearly 300. We aim to further revitalize the community on the occasion of this first anniversary. The reason for the rapid growth to 300 students in just one year, with an overwhelming convenience of being a '30-second walk' from JR Kokura Station and Monorail Kokura Station, lies in the 'passion as a community.' As the school has evolved into a 'wide-area Japan-Korea exchange hub' with students commuting from not only Kitakyushu but also the Chugoku region including Shimonoseki and various parts of Fukuoka Prefecture, it has established itself as a 'third place' where students want to visit voluntarily. By respecting individual goals—whether it be fandom activities, business, or travel—and providing flexible guidance, we have achieved high retention rates. We also offer a 'transfer campaign' in April for those looking for a more home-like environment. Furthermore, we support students looking toward short-term or long-term study abroad in Korea. As we enter our next phase, we will continue to evolve our 'hub' function for Japan-Korea exchange.
