Cumulative Visitors Surpass 200,000! 'Heijokyo Hina Festival' Currently Held at World Heritage Heijo Palace Site is a Great Success

The "Heijokyo Hina Festival" (Hina no Sekku), which has been held at the World Heritage Site Heijo Palace Site Historical Park (Nara City, Nara Prefecture) since February 21, 2026, has surpassed a cumulative total of 200,000 visitors as of March 27, 2026. The grand finale will be held on April 12.

This event is held as an initiative to re-exhibit Hina dolls donated or transferred from many people, creating new value and stories. Visitors can enjoy the sight of Hina dolls shining again in a historical space, gaining support from a wide range of generations.

A large Hina doll tiered stand boasting overwhelming scale is set up in the Suzakumon Gate area of the venue, attracting attention as a photo spot. In addition, the Tenpyo Mitsuki-kan features the elaborate "Eight Views of Hina," offering visitors a diverse viewing experience. Furthermore, participatory content such as Nagashi-bina (floating Hina dolls) and water fortune-telling is fulfilling, and its appeal as an experiential event that goes beyond mere viewing is also a characteristic.
