A research group led by Professor Shoichiro Kokabu at Kyushu Dental University discovered that applying adhesive materials like pyroxylin to the skin of mice induces distinct hair growth. This method provides localized stimulation to the skin surface, transitioning resting hair follicles into the growing phase. The findings, published in Scientific Reports, are expected to contribute to the development of new treatments for hair loss and more efficient evaluations of hair regeneration drugs.
