Mamoru Tanoue (momo)'s New Project "hanare" Releases 1st EP 'Trip in Theater'

Music producer Mamoru Tanoue (momo)'s artist project "hanare" finally launched in April 2026. Its 1st EP 'Trip in Theater,' which condenses its unique worldview, was released on April 22.

Project Concept Mamoru Tanoue, who has supported the core of numerous anime and game music, including 'Project Sekai,' 'Assault Lily,' and 'Violet Evergarden,' reinterprets his roots in shoegaze and dreampop. With the tagline "To you, the only 'lonely' one in the world," the project visualizes the earnest "solitude" to confirm "one's own outline" that wears away in consuming daily life. Adopting a style of inviting different vocalists for each song, Yura Miyamoto sings on "Hisui" and "Toto," Amami, the frontman of the popular band "Shujitsugara," sings on "Tokei," and Tei Hinoto, who has worked on many anime tie-ups under the name "Tei," sings on "Zanei." The auditory theater woven by intricate roaring sounds and diverse voices is condensed into the EP title "Trip in Theater."

This EP was an experimental attempt to get closer to the true nature of that small, yet deeply entrenched, feeling in our hearts, with the cooperation of many people. If I could be a headlight that gently illuminates the darkness, accompanying someone's hopeless days, nothing would make me happier."
