Lean on Me Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takatsuki City, Osaka; CEO: Shunsuke Shimura; hereinafter 'Lean on Me'), which works on solving social issues through 'IncluTech', has provided training videos from its 'Special Learning' platform to participants of the renewal training for Service Managers and Child Development Support Managers organized by the Okinawa Prefectural Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.

*IncluTech is a coined term combining Inclusion and Technology, referring to technology that realizes the inclusion of diversity among social issues, at a time of growing interest in the SDGs.

Comment from Mr. Takao Chinen, Okinawa Prefectural Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities

The renewal training for Service Managers and Child Development Support Managers in Okinawa Prefecture has been commissioned to the Okinawa Prefectural Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities since 2021.

Previously, participants were asked to watch videos on the remuneration revision beforehand, but these videos were created by association executives.

While there was a desire to provide participants with the latest information, recreating videos from scratch was difficult, so from this fiscal year, the association requested Lean on Me to provide the videos.

View details

This is an e-learning platform for staff working in disability welfare services.

It was developed from the desire to solve the 'difficulty of managing training amid labor shortages' and 'difficulty of standardizing knowledge' that CEO Shimura personally experienced while working at a residential facility for people with disabilities, aiming to create a system where even the basics of disabilities and support can be easily learned.

The platform offers over 2,000 training videos covering mandatory training such as abuse prevention and infection control, as well as disability basics, management, and systems, providing comprehensive information necessary for those working in the welfare industry.

A key feature is that lecturers are leading experts, including the chairman of the Autism Society, a former Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare abuse prevention specialist, and heads of national research institutions.

The Okinawa Prefectural Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities is an organization established to promote the welfare of persons with intellectual disabilities (including children). As of April 2022, 43 organizations within Okinawa Prefecture are members.
