A joint consortium consisting of Lecip Corporation, a subsidiary of Lecip Holdings Corporation, and Nagai Unyu Co., Ltd., has been selected for the Fiscal Year 2026 'Project for Resolving Transport Voids and Redesigning Regional Transportation' (Regional Transport DX Promotion type) by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Supported by Maebashi City, the project aims to advance the digital transformation (DX) of public transport through the 'Business Standardization Project for Route Buses in the Gunma Area.'
This initiative aims to maintain and strengthen sustainable regional transport, serving as a vital link for the community, by addressing the severe shortage of bus drivers and the burden of manual operations. By reducing paperwork and data entry tasks, the project aims to build a labor-efficient operation structure.
Key Components of the Gunma Area Route Bus Standardization Project: 1. Situation Analysis and Standardization: The project will investigate the current workflows of bus operators in the Gunma region regarding duty reports and work records, comparing them against the MLIT's standard business flows to revise operational processes. 2. System Upgrades and Implementation: The project will improve systems for shared use among bus operators in Gunma. By integrating with cloud-based cash register settlement systems, the project will automate duty reporting and work performance aggregation, significantly reducing manual input. Following an initial implementation at Nagai Unyu, the scope will be expanded. 3. Employee Training and Trial Operations: The project will conduct training for staff and hold trial operations to measure improvements in daily workflows, verifying the stability of the operating system.
The consortium plans to use the verification results to expand the implementation and eventually standardize the solution for bus operators nationwide, contributing to the DX of the entire industry.
