During this demonstration, various flight operations were performed using a small drone approximately 20 cm in diameter inside a sewer pipe replicated above ground, directly applying and spraying diagnostic agents onto the inner pipe walls.

Specifically, two types of drone systems were deployed: a "coating-type" that applies reagent directly onto surfaces, and a "spray-type" that disperses the agent widely through a nozzle, both adapted to pipe geometry and site conditions. This successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of "active inspection," in which pH indicator reagents are dispersed from the drone to detect concrete degradation through visible color changes—contrasting with the conventional mainstream method of passive video recording via cameras.
