LIBERTY Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the second collection of official licensed T-shirts (6 designs in total) by Behind the Scenes®, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the movie 'Trainspotting'.
These products are official licensed merchandise, exclusively developed for the Japanese market, based on a formal agreement with Channel 4 (CHANNEL FOUR FILMS) in the UK, which holds the rights to 'Trainspotting'.
Sales will commence on April 7, 2026 (Tuesday) at all Barneys New York stores and their online store.
Reconstructing the 1996 Vibe for 2026 Released in 1996, 'Trainspotting' had a profound impact on music, fashion, and street culture, and continues to be highly acclaimed as a symbolic work of the 90s. Based on official T-shirts (© 1996 CHANNEL FOUR FILMS) distributed in Europe and the US at the time, this project goes beyond a mere reissue, conceptualizing 'reconstruction' from a contemporary perspective.
Original print data and design documents from that time no longer exist. Therefore, based on limited available materials, the T-shirts have been re-edited as a 2026 licensed product without losing the atmosphere and excitement of 1996.
### Latest Visuals Shot in London These visuals were specially photographed in East London by London-based photographer Una Lowe.
By combining 35mm film and digital techniques, the visuals express the atmosphere of that era while connecting to contemporary lifestyles.
