Lion Corporation (Representative Director and President: Masayuki Takemori) has been named a 'Supplier Engagement Leader' for the seventh consecutive year by CDP, an international non-profit organization that manages environmental disclosure, in its Supplier Engagement Assessment.

As one of its key sustainability issues, the Group promotes 'initiatives for a sustainable global environment.' Under its long-term environmental goal, 'LION Eco Challenge 2050,' the company is working toward a 'decarbonized society' and a 'resource-circulating society.' To reduce environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle, the company is promoting CO2 reduction and resource circulation, while also advancing environmental and procurement risk management in collaboration with suppliers across the entire supply chain—from raw material procurement to production, logistics, use, and disposal. Furthermore, through business activities such as promoting laundry without rinsing using the liquid detergent 'NANOX one,' the company is supporting 'eco-habituation' among consumers by offering products that combine environmental consideration with high convenience.

The 'Supplier Engagement Assessment' is an index designed to promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions across the entire supply chain by evaluating how companies collaborate and engage with their suppliers. It comprehensively assesses responses to the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire in four areas: governance, goals, Scope 3 emission calculation, and collaboration with suppliers. Lion's efforts, including supplier evaluation based on the 'Lion Group Supplier CSR Guidelines' and requests for environmental information disclosure via CDP, were highly recognized.

Guided by its purpose, 'Contributing to people's daily lives by creating better habits (ReDesign),' the Lion Group is aiming to realize its management vision of becoming a 'leading company in next-generation healthcare.' Going forward, the company will continue to promote 'eco-habituation' together with stakeholders, including consumers and suppliers, to contribute to a sustainable society and global environment while enhancing corporate value.
