Liquitous Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa, CEO: Takayuki Kurimoto) is collaborating with REPORT SASEBO (Location: Mancho, Sasebo City, Nagasaki) to support the development of an area vision for the Man6 District in Sasebo City, utilizing the online citizen participation and consensus-building platform "Liqlid."

In this initiative, REPORT SASEBO is responsible for analyzing information from interviews with local stakeholders, establishing a system for residents to post opinions from within the town, and providing advisory services for overall area management. Notably, REPORT SASEBO, our collaborative partner, has been selected for the FY2025 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications 'Furusato Creation Award' (Minister Award - Climate, Culture, and Lifestyle category). 1. Overview of the Initiative Mancho, a warehouse district in Sasebo City, is an area where city officials and diverse citizens have practiced 'town editing' beyond the boundaries of public-private and public-private partnerships, through 'side-job' collaborations. Centered around REPORT SASEBO, the area, under the nickname 'Man6 District,' has developed unique cafes and micro-hotels like 'RE SORT,' revitalized the morning market with 'NEO Asaichi,' and held a market that pedestrianized a national highway, 'OUT BLOCK(S) SASEBO.'

Liquitous is collaborating with REPORT SASEBO on an initiative to gather opinions for the construction of a 'food creation hub' within the Man6 District area, as part of Nagasaki Prefecture's 'Nagasaki Food Vibrancy Creation Project.' For the development of the area vision, REPORT SASEBO conducts interviews with local stakeholders, and Liquitous supports the analysis of this information. Specifically, Liquitous has been responsible for the following tasks: ・Establishing a System for Resident Opinion Submission (Utilizing Liqlid): A 'Voice Collection' system was built on Liqlid, enabling residents to post opinions via QR codes on 'speech bubbles' (acrylic plates) installed throughout the town.

・Analysis of Stakeholder Interview Information: Liquitous analyzes and visualizes the results of interviews conducted by REPORT SASEBO with neighborhood association members and local stakeholders on 'Liqlid,' supporting the development of the area vision.

・Overall Advisory Services: Providing advice and proposals for area management as a whole.

On Liqlid, resident voices are digitally accumulated, realizing opinion gathering that combines online and offline methods.

2. Future Developments Moving forward, we will work towards the full implementation of 'Yorozu Koenowa,' a system for opinion gathering and policy formation that combines digital and analog methods, based on the Liqlid platform provided by Liquitous. We will continue to collaborate with REPORT SASEBO to support the deepening of 'town editing' for the rebranding of Man6 District as a special autonomous zone where old and new coexist, and to expand the domain of sustainable town development in collaboration with government and corporations (such as updating neighborhood association operations). 3. Comments REPORT SASEBO General Incorporated Association Representative Daiki Nakao Comment I am delighted that the 15-year initiative, which began with the personal desire to create a place for oneself in a town where I happened to continue living, has led to an initiative that updates the public concept of 'creating our town ourselves' through encounters and collaborations with various people, including Liquitous. Furthermore, I would like to continue to deepen our contemplation and report on how balancing individual voices with the economy, administration, and organizations that can sometimes dilute personal feelings can lead to hope for society, through practice. Liquitous Inc. CEO Takayuki Kurimoto Comment This initiative is part of our efforts to support the knowledge creation and participatory processes of various local organizations (such as regional think tanks) that are active in local communities. We are promoting this initiative in collaboration with REPORT SASEBO, an organization based in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Through our platform 'Liqlid,' we aim to create opportunities for local residents to turn their attention to and become interested in the areas where they live. By building a foundation where people can participate in knowledge updating and creation, we want to enhance the sustainability of accumulating, updating, and sharing local information. I sincerely congratulate REPORT SASEBO on their Furusato Creation Award. 4.
