This work, born from the collaboration between contemporary artist Leandro Erlich and LLADRÓ, draws inspiration from REEFLINE, a nonprofit project supporting the restoration of Florida’s coral reefs—severely impacted by urban development and ecosystem degradation—through art, science, and practical conservation efforts. For this project, Erlich created the art installation Concrete Coral, in which concrete car sculptures are placed in a traffic-like formation on the seabed off Miami, gradually transforming into foundational structures for coral regeneration. The concept of 'transformation'—where vehicles, symbols of environmental burden, evolve into life-nurturing elements of the ocean—is realized through this collaboration with LLADRÓ. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this piece will be donated to support REEFLINE’s initiatives.
