Becoming a Hub for People Living with Dreams: LOKAHI LLC’s "surf" Aims to Support Success Through Community Collaboration

We support 'April Dream,' a project that aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release describes the dream of 'surf.'

LOKAHI LLC (located in Shinagawa, Tokyo; Representative: Etsushi Kubota), which operates the select shop 'surf,' provides fashionable healing to business people working in the city center and aims to create a town full of vitality.

Background of Our April Dream

The owner, Etsushi Kubota, is originally from Toba, Mie Prefecture.

Born on a remote island in Toba, he grew up surrounded by nature.

In his hometown, everyone in the town held hands and valued a culture of 'mutual aid' in their daily lives.

However, what he felt after moving to Tokyo was a sense of sharp tension, as everyone was so focused on achieving their own goals.

He felt, 'I want to bring the good culture of the countryside to the city center!'

This feeling led to this announcement.

Our April Dream

To date, we have collaborated with many individuals who possess talents or skills but were overshadowed, such as:

- People who make accessories but have no place to display them.

- People who have yoga skills but cannot attract enough customers to hold lessons.

Through these collaborations, we have worked together to make their dreams a reality.

By using the shop as a hub, many people can share their dreams, cooperate, and accomplish things one after another that would be impossible to achieve alone. We aim to create a place where the wonderful 'mutual aid' culture of the countryside intersects.

We will continue to contribute to the realization of the dreams of many people in the future.
