Mampei Hotel (located in Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture; General Manager: Ichiro Sasaki) will launch the 'Alpskan 90th Anniversary Parfait' at its Cafe Terrace starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in conjunction with the 'Alpskan 90th Anniversary Project' commemorating the building’s 90th anniversary.

Crafted in a retro-style glass, the parfait is based on flavors long cherished at Mampei Hotel, incorporating design motifs symbolic of the hotel. At the top, a delicate lily-of-the-valley made of chocolate is placed atop matcha sponge cake, evoking the image of a beautifully moss-covered courtyard. Beneath it lies fruit jelly designed to resemble the stained-glass windows displayed throughout Alpskan, followed by a layer of raspberry mousse, a favorite since the early Showa era. The base features royal milk tea chocolate crunch. From refreshing fruit notes to the tangy sweetness of raspberry and the rich, crunchy texture of crumble, each bite offers a new harmony of flavor and texture. The parfait is served on a plate featuring the 'retro lily-of-the-valley pattern,' a revival of tableware designs used from the Taisho era through the 1930s.
