3rd Annual Letter Contest Results

Premium dog food manufacturer POCHI (operated by Marketing Partner Co., Ltd.; Head Office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; CEO: Masato Taichi) announced the winners of its 3rd "Letter Contest," which solicited letters of affection to beloved dogs, on May 22.

The theme for this year's contest was "If you could talk..." Entries came from across Japan, filled with memories, gratitude, and questions owners have longed to ask their pets. Over 600 letters were submitted, and after careful deliberation, five winning pieces were selected.

### Winning Entries and Judge's Comments

**Gold Prize: MIHO (Tochigi Prefecture) / Recipient: Sparta** Special judge and picture book author Kako Hasegawa commented, "The warm feelings of the owner came through clearly, especially in the desire to learn more about the dog's mother."

**Silver Prize: Shinomiya (Kanagawa Prefecture) / Recipient: Chocola** This moving letter, written to a 17-year-old pet, poignantly asked, "Are you happy you came to live with us?"

In addition, two Bronze Prize winners and one Special Jury Prize winner were selected. Winners will receive personalized gifts such as "My Dog Illustrations" and "Otsumami Treat Boxes."

### Background of the Contest

This contest was organized by the "Dog Happiness Executive Committee," established by POCHI to commemorate its 25th anniversary in 2023. The goal is to collect happy stories shared between dogs and their families, fostering a deeper appreciation for their bonds and promoting a richer life together.
