A Principal is the highest rank in a ballet company, responsible for leading roles, while a Soloist is a core member who performs significant supporting roles and variations. Kenta Yamamoto, originally from Kyoto, trained at the Shanghai Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School in the UK before joining the Slovenian National Ballet, where he became the first male Principal in 2023. Emilie Tassinari, from Bologna, Italy, graduated from the La Scala Ballet Academy and gained experience at the Dutch National Ballet and Houston Ballet before being promoted to Soloist in 2024. The Slovenian National Ballet, based in Ljubljana, was established in 1918 and is a prestigious institution currently led by Artistic Director Renato Zanella. The performance will be held on August 9, 2026, at the Kobe Bunka Hall.
