10th Anniversary Rei Kurahashi Exhibition Collaboration Cafe Details

It has been 10 years since Rei Kurahashi began her career as an illustrator and picture book author. She depicts heartwarming stories, filled with a sense of nostalgia, starring small children and cats. With unique colors reminiscent of old foreign picture books and delicate layers of tones, her illustrations possess a mysterious charm that makes the stories before and after each scene naturally come to life. Each of her works holds a touch of magic hidden in casual daily moments, shining like gems.

This exhibition, held at Matsuya Ginza to celebrate her 10th anniversary, explores her world by introducing illustrations through keywords from A to Z. Inside the venue, there are various features to immerse visitors in her charm, including life-sized photo spots, costume displays replicating outfits from her works, introductions to the picture books she has authored, and video spaces that expand upon her world.
