MAW Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture; Representative: Daisuke Hoshino) is pleased to announce the inaugural event of "IINDA Local," a new celebration service created in collaboration with multiple local businesses (i.e., the town itself), held on June 13, 2026, in Kiso Town, Nagano Prefecture.

This service offers hosts the opportunity to shape their celebrations around familiar or beloved neighborhoods. By transforming everyday spaces into venues for celebration, it enables events to feel like a natural extension of daily life. Guests can enjoy not only the celebration itself but also explore and experience the locale before and after the event.

For this first wedding event, the couple—both actively involved in manufacturing businesses and community development in Kiso—joined us to co-create the experience. By turning their favorite local spots into event spaces, we offered guests a chance to experience daily life in Kiso, allowing them to appreciate the town's unique charm through the lens of celebration.

Waiting areas, meals, conversations, and speeches—all took place within Kiso.

The stage for the first IINDA Local event was Kiso Town, Nagano Prefecture. As the central hub of the historic 11 post towns of Kiso along the Nakasendo route, this area remains rich in natural grandeur—surrounded by Mount Ontake and Mount Kiso-Komagatake—and in cultural traditions deeply tied to forestry. However, the area has no dedicated wedding venues, so celebratory events have traditionally been held elsewhere, including in cities like Nagano and Matsumoto.

The groom, born and raised in Kiso, hoped this event would be an opportunity for others to discover the town’s appeal, prompting his desire to host the party through IINDA Local. On the day, guests traveled through the town, visiting cafes, snack bars, set-meal restaurants, and confectionery shops—places the couple frequents—and shared moments of gratitude and celebration together.

◎ Shinto Ceremony with Immediate Family

The day began with a Shinto wedding ceremony at a local shrine, attended by the couple and their immediate family.

Under a clear blue sky and in a solemn atmosphere, vows were exchanged, surrounded by warm, supportive gazes.

◎ Guests Check In, Then Explore the Town

As guests arrived in Kiso from across Japan, they checked in at a nearby snack bar just a short walk from Kiso-Fukushima Station. After receiving their participant wristbands, they set off to explore.

Using maps distributed at check-in, guests visited various local establishments within a 20-minute walk of the station.

Some chose to savor each spot slowly, like residents enjoying their neighborhood, while others sampled different places like tourists. At times, the couple joined guests, walking alongside them and guiding them through the town.

・Night Inn Ginga (snack bar)

・Hidatei (restaurant)

・Dandjiri (izakaya)

・Sabo Matsushima (cafe)

・Platanus (coffee shop)

・Kashizou Kishiro (confectionery shop)

◎ Tourists and Locals Join In! Sake Barrel Opening and Toast

After about two hours of exploring the town at their leisure, all guests gathered for the traditional sake barrel opening ceremony (kagami-biraki).

Tourists who happened to be passing through and local residents from nearby areas, surprised by the unusual town scenery, joined in with warm congratulations for the couple.

◎ Moving to the Kiso Citizens’ Hall: Group Discussions on the Theme “How to Stay Happy Together for the Next 10 Years”

In the latter half of the party, the group moved to the Kiso Citizens’ Hall for a series of group discussions. Inspired by the couple’s own experience meeting through the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, they wanted to incorporate a familiar format from their professional lives into their celebration.

The theme: "How can the two of us stay happily together for the next 10 years?" Groups discussed animatedly—sometimes humorously, sometimes passionately—before concluding as the closing time approached.

Future IINDA Local Events

"IINDA Local" launched on May 14, 2026, as a new service under IINDA. We have already received numerous inquiries, and some couples originally planning weddings through other IINDA services have requested to switch to IINDA Local. Beyond Kiso Town, we are also planning events in Ogachi Town (Akita Prefecture), Shin-Tate Town (Ishikawa Prefecture), Susami Town (Wakayama Prefecture), and Hino-cho (Yamanashi Prefecture). We welcome your inquiries.

We hope to offer through IINDA a joyful, slightly awkward, and deeply heartwarming moment—like seeing a familiar town dressed up just for a day.

About IINDA

Founded in 2024 by a representative who dreams of a future where "every child, wherever they grow up, can live happily," IINDA was born from years of experience in the wedding industry. The vision is to create opportunities where celebrations connect people with places, and where vibrant towns gain wider recognition.

Currently, IINDA offers two services: "IINDA Place," which allows couples to choose unique, non-traditional venues that reflect their personalities, and "IINDA Local," which enables celebrations shaped by beloved local neighborhoods. As Japan’s largest platform dedicated to non-traditional wedding venues, it features over 200 locations across 14 prefectures.

Each region is supported by wedding planners deeply familiar with the local area, ensuring celebrations feel seamless and natural for the couple.
