Medialink Inc., provider of the AI phone agent 'DX Denwa' and the AI customer support agent 'AIto,' has announced the results of its 'AI Medical Consultation System' pilot program conducted in partnership with Himeji City as part of the 'Hyogo TECH Innovation Project.' Starting in December 2025, the pilot aimed to solve challenges in nighttime and holiday pediatric medical consultations using proprietary AI solutions. The verification confirmed stable system operation and effectiveness in supporting medical systems during off-hours. In a survey, 76.3% of participating citizens rated the system as 'useful,' marking a steady step toward enhancing regional healthcare sustainability. Himeji City's medical facilities have faced chronic shortages of doctors and nurses during nights and holidays, compounded by a high volume of phone inquiries, particularly in pediatrics. To address this, the project introduced 'DX Denwa' and 'AIto' to establish a 24/7 automated response system. During the trial, a total of 276 interactions were processed via chat and voice bots. In a survey of 76 users, 76.3% stated the system is useful, and 75.1% noted it helps reduce the burden on medical staff. Additionally, a unique medical knowledge base was built using 1,500 digitalized records, achieving high response accuracy that balances professionalism with a friendly tone. Moving forward, the company plans to explore expanding this technology to other administrative services and public inquiries beyond the medical sector.
