Media Link Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Junji Matsumoto; hereinafter referred to as Media Link), provider of the AI phone agent "DX Denwa" and the customer support automation tool "AIto", announces the implementation of a new "Reminder Function" in "DX Denwa" that automatically notifies users of unanswered incoming calls.

About "DX Denwa"

"DX Denwa" is an automated phone response service (IVR) that digitizes corporate phone operations, promoting efficiency and labor savings in human-led responses.

In addition to realizing "automated reception via voice guidance" and "routing to the appropriate staff member based on the inquiry" 24/7, it comes standard with diverse functions such as an "automatic voice-to-text conversion function" that summarizes voice recordings by AI and transcribes them into text, and an "SMS sending function" that enables automated responses without relying solely on voice.

Furthermore, its flexible voice and flow creation capabilities allow for optimal settings tailored to various situations. It supports approximately 40 languages, including English, Chinese, and Korean, and is utilized across a wide range of industries such as hotels, retail, real estate, and clinics as a "tool that contributes to the efficiency and problem-solving of phone operations."

Overview of the New "Reminder Function"

The newly implemented "Reminder Function" is a feature that sends reminder notifications for incoming calls that "DX Denwa" has automatically responded to, with a response status of "Unanswered" (※).

※ In the "DX Denwa" incoming call history screen, it is possible to assign any status such as "Handled" or "In Progress" to each incoming call individually. The status after an incoming call is displayed as "Unanswered" by default.

While "DX Denwa" has long been equipped with a "Notification Setting Function" that notifies users of incoming calls in real-time, the "Reminder Function" can notify users of "Unanswered" calls not only immediately after the call but also multiple times thereafter.

This eliminates the need for snooze settings that were previously required on the tool receiving the notification (※), enabling "DX Denwa" alone to prevent "oversights in grasping missed calls" and "missed follow-up responses."

※ As of the release of this press release, the only tool that can be set as a notification destination for the "Reminder Function" is "Email". Updates are planned to allow setting other tools (such as "Chatwork", "LINE WORKS", "SMS", "Slack", "Teams", "GoogleChat"), similar to the "Notification Setting Function", as notification destinations.

Furthermore, the "Reminder Function" is divided into the following two types, each capable of providing reminders in different ways:

Unanswered Reminder Function: Reminds of "Unanswered" calls that have passed through a specific menu.

Unanswered Report Function: Reminds of "Unanswered" calls accumulated over a certain period.

Details of the "Unanswered Reminder Function"

The "Unanswered Reminder Function" is a feature that allows individual reminder settings for menus (options) created in the branching settings. For example, as shown in the figure below, reminders can be set only for incoming calls that have passed through a specific menu among multiple branches.

When the caller passes through a menu for which the "Unanswered Reminder Function" is set, a notification will be sent containing the call date and time, caller name, caller number, and the automatically recorded inquiry (AI summary). The reminder interval (up to 23 hours and 59 minutes) and the number of times (up to 5 times) can be set arbitrarily.

※ "Caller name" will be included if registered in the phone book.

※ If the response status is set to anything other than "Unanswered", reminders will stop.

Details of the "Unanswered Report Function"

The "Unanswered Report Function" is a feature that collectively reminds of "Unanswered" calls accumulated over a certain period. The notification timing can be set to any day of the week and time, such as "Monday at 8:30 AM", and different times can be set for different days of the week, allowing reminders to be customized according to your company's situation, as follows:

▼Example of Reminder Timing

Notify first thing in the morning from Monday to Friday to grasp missed follow-ups and missed calls from the previous day.

Notify on a fixed day and time each week, coinciding with routine work periods.

At the set day and time, a list of "Unanswered" incoming calls will be notified, including the caller name, caller phone number, and automatically recorded inquiry (AI summary).

※ "Caller name" will be included if registered in the phone book.

※ If the response status is set to anything other than "Unanswered", reminders will stop.

Additionally, the "Unanswered Report Function" can be used even when the "Notification Setting Function" that notifies of incoming calls in real-time is turned OFF. It is also possible to set notification destinations different from those set in the notification setting function.

Pricing Structure

The "Reminder Function" released this time is provided as a standard feature of "DX Denwa". Regardless of the plan you choose, there are no additional option fees.

※ Please check the pricing page for plan details.

Future Development Plans

"DX Denwa" will continue to expand its functions based on customer feedback. Please look forward to further improvements in convenience.
