[Social Reintegration Support] 37th Cohort of the "Comprehensive Beauty Technology Course" Graduates from Tochigi Prison

The Medical Esthetics Association (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Makiko Nishio) is pleased to report that the 37th cohort of the "Comprehensive Beauty Technology Course," a vocational training program within the correctional facility at Tochigi Prison, successfully completed their studies on March 25, 2026.

Thorough "365-Hour" Curriculum and Professional Qualifications

Currently, there are no official national qualifications for esthetics in Japan. However, to ensure this program serves as a genuine tool for social reintegration, we have pursued a level of study time and quality equivalent to "quasi-national qualifications" for this vocational training.

Through a rigorous training program totaling 365 hours over six months, the 37th cohort has completed and acquired all of the following professional qualification courses:

Culmination of 18 Years of History

Since 2008, for 18 years, we have been conducting vocational training at Tochigi Prison as a commissioned project by the Ministry of Justice. This initiative, which has supported the fresh starts of many women, is a crucial activity that embodies our association's philosophy of "social contribution through beauty."
