A Special Bridal Fair to Think About the Future of Two People, Together with 'Tamagoyaku'

This bridal fair offers special programs not only for wedding preparations but also to inspire couples to think about their future together. Attendees can learn foundational knowledge about life planning and health in an easy-to-understand way through seminars led by the editorial team and experts from 'Tamagoyaku,' a pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting media platform operated by Benesse Corporation.

The event also includes a free tasting of actual wedding banquet cuisine served at Meiji Memorial Hall, a traditional bridal kimono fitting experience, and a guided tour of the venue, helping couples visualize their wedding day more concretely. Experience the unique charm of Meiji Memorial Hall, including a side-by-side tasting of Japanese and French wedding menus.

[About Meiji Memorial Hall]

https://www.meijikinenkan.gr.jp/

The main building of Meiji Memorial Hall was completed in 1881 (Meiji 14) as the 'Dining Hall of the Akasaka Temporary Imperial Palace' at the site where the current State Guest House stands. In 1888 (Meiji 21), it served as the venue for the imperial conference to deliberate the draft of the 'Constitution of the Great Japanese Empire,' with Emperor Meiji attending in person. Due to this historical significance, the main building is also known as the 'Constitution Memorial Hall.'

After being relocated to its current site, it has served as a venue for nationally and socially significant events, including the 30th-anniversary ceremony of the Constitution's promulgation, the 50th-anniversary ceremony of the Imperial Rescript on Education, general meetings of the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Patriotic Women's Association, and commemorative events by the Jiseikai.

In 1947 (Showa 22), it opened as a comprehensive wedding venue under the name 'Meiji Memorial Hall,' celebrating the new beginnings of over 230,000 couples since then. Today, it is used not only for weddings but also for MICE events such as parties and conferences, commemorative events like celebrations and life milestones, and dining experiences at its restaurants and kaiseki dining establishments.

In 2020 (Reiwa 2), the historical and architectural value of the main building was recognized, and it was designated as a Tokyo Tangible Cultural Property (Building).
