Meiko Career Partners Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takuya Nakagawa; hereinafter "Meiko Career Partners"), a subsidiary of Meiko Network Japan Co., Ltd., which operates the individual tutoring cram school "Meiko Gijuku," has been selected by Kochi Prefecture as the contractor for the "FY2026 Kochi Prefecture Japanese Language Learning Support Project Outsourcing Business."

This project aims to provide learning tools for Japanese language acquisition necessary for daily life, in response to the increasing number of foreign residents in Kochi Prefecture. Furthermore, it is being implemented with the objective of addressing the risk of talent outflow to urban areas, looking ahead to the transition to the new "Specified Skilled Worker" system scheduled to be implemented in FY2027.

By establishing an "e-learning infrastructure that transcends time and location" to meet learning needs that cannot be fully covered by existing Japanese language classes, which have geographical and time constraints, this initiative will enhance the satisfaction of foreign residents and promote their settlement in the prefecture.

Meiko Career Partners will provide comprehensive support, accompanying companies, schools, and foreign residents in Kochi Prefecture through the Japanese e-learning service "Japany," which enables high-quality Japanese language learning anytime, anywhere, with just a smartphone.

Project Overview

What is the "FY2026 Kochi Prefecture Japanese Language Learning Support Project"?

This is a comprehensive program designed to directly solve challenges faced by Kochi Prefecture, such as "addressing areas with no Japanese language classes" and "reducing the management costs for support staff." Under this project, free e-learning licenses for "Japany" will be provided to 250 accounts for foreign residents in Kochi Prefecture (excluding international students whose purpose of stay is Japanese language study).

In addition, to reduce the burden on busy foreign technical intern training program supervisors, employers of foreign employees, school teachers, families of learners, and Japanese language instructors, we will utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) for progress visualization and automatic reminders (push notifications). Furthermore, in addition to one orientation session per organization, a total of three additional support sessions will be provided exclusively for businesses with a strong intention to support learning, establishing a system to ensure consistent learning continuation throughout the region.

▶ 5 Strengths of Meiko Career Partners' Japanese E-learning "Japany"

High-Quality Learning Content Acquire Japanese efficiently with a systematic curriculum and easy-to-understand video lessons created by Meiko Career Partners' dedicated Japanese instructors, who are education professionals.

Supports Diverse Learning Needs Equipped with over 600 rich video lessons. It covers a wide range of topics, from Japanese necessary for daily life to "Specified Skilled Worker Level 2 preparation" in anticipation of the new system, and industry-specific business Japanese (food service, nursing care, IT) useful in the workplace.

Visualizes Achievement of Learning Goals

By taking a proficiency test upon the first login to e-learning, learners can check the gap between their current level and their goals. Furthermore, the degree of retention of learning content is measured through numerous quizzes and completion tests, allowing learners to grasp their progress towards their goals.

Reduces the Learning Management Burden for Company Representatives

The management screen (dashboard) allows for a quick, at-a-glance view of learner login rates, study hours, and test scores presented in graphs. Effective and efficient support can be provided through automatic schedule generation aligned with exam dates and "push notifications" to encourage learning.

Multilingual User Interface

The interface (operation screen) supports 12 languages (English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Tagalog, Myanmar, Nepali, etc.). Additionally, beginner-level videos are equipped with multilingual subtitles and explanations in native languages (English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Myanmar, etc.), allowing even beginner Japanese learners to start with confidence.
