Little World, an open-air museum of world cultures (located in Inuyama, Aichi; Director: Kohei Ikai), is hosting its popular early summer event 'Umbrellas Sky' at the fountain square in the 'Turkish Istanbul Street' area until June 30, 2026. Visitors can enjoy an overwhelming, photogenic space created by beautiful exotic streetscapes and colorful umbrellas filling the sky overhead.
'Umbrellas Sky' is an event born from 'Agitagueda,' an arts festival held annually in the summer in the city of Agueda, central Portugal. The fantastic scenery of covering spaces like streets and parks with colorful umbrellas has become a topic of conversation, and it is now a popular art exhibition loved all over the world. Little World also holds this event every year as a traditional early summer feature.
At the 'Turkish Istanbul Street' area, visitors can enjoy Turkish costume rental experiences (500 yen for 5 minutes per outfit). Wear vivid and gorgeous costumes that rival the Umbrellas Sky and take special, extraordinary photos as if you were visiting on an overseas trip.
