Menicon Launches New Ophthalmic Surgical Field Maintenance Material "Sheers"

Menicon Co., Ltd. announced the launch of "Sheers", a new ophthalmic surgical field maintenance material developed using self-assembling peptide gel technology, starting May 18, 2026. Designed for glaucoma surgery, Sheers helps secure visibility by suppressing blood inflow into the surgical site. This medical device aims to reduce the burden on doctors. Developed with Okayama University and Osaka University, this product is the first of its kind in the market.
