Tokyo has launched the "Overseas City Issue Solving Course" under the King Salmon Project to support startups. This year, the project targets Moreton Bay, Australia, and Rome, Italy. Selected startups will receive financial support for travel and validation costs, along with coordination support from Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support. The program aims to solve local urban issues using innovative solutions from Tokyo-based companies. Previous successful cases include waste-to-energy projects in Jakarta and food waste material development in Malmo. Applications are open until May 29.
