The Asian Games, the largest sports festival in Asia held every four years, will take place in Japan for the first time in 32 years, centered in Aichi and Nagoya starting this September. In Tokyo, two sports will be held: swimming (competitive and diving) and equestrian. To deliver the wonder of sports and dreams to children in Tokyo, the government is inviting them to watch these competitions. The application period is from June 1st to June 30th, 2026. The invitation is open to children aged 6 to 18 residing or attending school in Tokyo, with a capacity of 3,700 people. While children's tickets are free, accompanying adults must pay 2,000 yen each. Applications must be submitted by an accompanying adult via the 'Sports TOKYO Information' website, and a lottery will be held if applications exceed the capacity. Results will be announced in late July.
