Background of Introduction

The guidelines published by the Japan Society of Brain Dock, which promotes dementia prevention, now list the implementation of cognitive function tests as a mandatory item, indicating the importance of lifestyle disease management from middle age. Furthermore, the "Guide to Preparing for a Life with Dementia" published by the Alzheimer's Association Japan also recommends that everyone be sensitive to changes in their physical condition in preparation for getting older and potentially developing dementia.

Cognitive Function Scale "Atama no Kenko Check®"

Japan's first cognitive function scale that can be taken by healthy individuals (target age 30 to 99 years old) who have no complaints of cognitive decline. Quantitative evaluation over time of cognitive function in the healthy range is possible. The state of cognitive function is evaluated over time in an easy-to-understand manner using a unique index (MPI value) from 0 to 100. The required time is 10 minutes. Widely adopted by health checkup facilities, local governments, universities/research institutions, and companies/organizations nationwide.
